I've got a version of Luminar so basically I don't need sky replacement and that if I don't want to use it. I think the last really stable version was in 2019 before the sky replacement, neural filters etc. It's my favorite app bar none but I'm about to quit the 2020/2021 upgrades period. Fortunately I don't use LR and I have all my photos backed up twice over and any new edits I use a copy of my original not the original itself but all those people permanently losing photos and edits that was just stupid and I'm not going there period. I don't trust it after the Lightroom deletion fiasco. It's been getting more and more intrusive with each upgrade. I'd been using bootleg Photoshop for years and years so I know what I am doing in terms of blocking but I went legit several years ago and I honestly find the whole Cloud and subscription thing to be a royal PITA. Now it's all grayed out and I can't log in or dl the neural filters or any upgrades at all but I can live with that if it means my Photoshop is stable and quiet. I hate doing it but I'm definitely not into allowing any further upgrades if this is going to be the result.

#Preset adobe cloud download update#
I've blocked every Adobe exe file I can in the firewall for now but this last update has tons of new exe files and more for the update system so it makes it a lot harder to block it all.

IMHO this last upgrade is just a hot mess so I rolled back to pre upgrade and just made sure they can't upgrade on me again. I just don't have time for this nonsense and it was just not an issue before. I have a good machine and plenty of RAM but it was like Photoshop was sucking up every bit of it and demanding more and more and I was not doing anything huge. Some of my filters were just taking forever. The text tool would stop and spin but finally work. I could not smudge anything and not sit there spinning. I finally blocked it all just to get some peace.Ī couple of the tools the minute I tried to use them they just sat there spinning. Photoshop kept trying but it just ended up in a loop constantly trying. I had downloaded a couple of the neural filters just to check them out but they vanished upon upgrade and I could not dl them again.

That pop up went away but only when I rolled back. The neural filters were on the menu, not all downloaded but not greyed out half the time and I did not have nags that I need to sign in to do certain things. I finally blocked it from updating completely and that stopped it all.īut before this "upgrade" I did not have this issue. It's been using up way more in terms of system resources.Īpparently the latest version Photoshop is trying to work more and more in the cloud because I kept getting pop up warnings from the firewall that Adobe Photoshop is calling out even when I am not signed in which I prefer not to be as I don't want to work in the cloud at all. According to my firewall ever since the last upgrade Photoshop is in constant call out mode. So far they have been a constant source of annoyance. They have yet to work quite right the ones that will download. I'm not a huge fan of them to begin with. Some tools were lagging and the neural filters kept greying out. I blocked Adobe from automatic access after that. That popup I just could not get rid of it but that was the least of it. I ended up rolling back to before the latest update and I'm not updating again.
